John Stossel’s “Sick In America”

This is basically the long version of a piece by John Stossel that I posted earlier.  That posting has been removed by YouTube, and I can’t find it any where else. I suspect the Obama administration will force YouTube to remove this, too, at some point. But, until then, enjoy.

Obama, Apparently, Shuts Down John Stossel Anti-Obamacare Video

I just noticed that my video of John Stossel’s, previously of ABC, has been taken down by YouTube. It states “violation of terms”. Obviously, the Obama administration got to YouTube. This video was posted a few months ago. It was highly critical of Obamacare. It is now “unavailable”. http://healthcaretodiefor.com/?p=95 I’ve tried to find another source, but I have not been able to do so. It is painfully obvious that Barack Osama does not want Amerika to know his plans for turning the USA into the USSA (“United Socialist States of Amerika”.)
It is also interesting that many of my other posts, from about that time frame, are no longer available. As the “Church Lady” used to say “It must be Satan”. ER, Barack Osama.

We are doomed!

The National Debt Road Trip

A great little video that explains the national debt in a way that almost anyone can understand.

What is with Obama’s administration? First a depopulation nutjob, now a confirmed Marxist!

It was bad enough news when Barack Obama announced that his science czar was to be John Holdren, but now he has announced that Van Jones will be the clean energy czar! What else can he do to destroy the United States?

We now have a fan of one-world government, depopulation, and legal rights for trees as science czar, and a self-admitted Marxist in charge of green energy!  (Not to mention a Christian fundamentalist in charge of the National Institutes of Health! Although Francis Collins is a fine scientist, by most accounts, I question how a Christian fundamentalist can really support evolution, which is an essential aspect of any science-related job, and especially one that involves medicine and evolution at it’s core. Let’s hope he can keep his personal religious beliefs away from his duties at the NIH. But, I digress.)

In 1977, John Holdren co-authored a book titled “Eccoscience: Population, Resources, Environment” along with Paul Ehrlich and Anne Ehrlich. In this very long book, he strongly advocated for depopulation. The book could be summarized by the statement: “To provide a high quality of life for all, there must be fewer people.” To accomplish that, he advocated for forced sterilizations, limiting women to no more than one or two children, and forcing unmarried women to abort their children.
The following is a direct quote from his book:

Isn’t this just the man for the job of science czar??? And, he also famously predicted that the oceans would rise 13 feet by the end of the 21st century due to global warming, even though the highly dubious IPCC report only predicts a sea level rise of 13 inches by the end of the century.

In the above mentioned book, Holdren also argued for zero GDP growth, along with zero population growth.

It is by now abundantly clear that the GNP cannot grow forever. Why should it? Why should we not strive for zero economic growth (ZEG) as well as zero population growth?”

What a brilliant idea, especially right after the Obama administration has foisted a $10 trillion budget deficit upon the children of America! When the youth of America fully realize the impact of that fact, and are told that we should not have economic growth that might at least help to pay for that staggering debt load, they might want to consider suicide, which will probably be handily supplied by your local government controlled doctor, if and when you can get an appointment. That will help to both lower population, and reduce GNP at the same time! I am beginning to see the logic.

In 1973, Holdren stated, in relation to the population of the United States,  “210 million now is too many and 280 million in 2040 is likely to be much too many”. The current population of the United States is a bit over 307 million. I guess he got that wrong.

Holdren stated in another book that he co-authored with Paul and Anne Ehrlich in 1973, “Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions”:

A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States. De-devolopment means bringing our economic system (especially patterns of consumption) into line with the realities of ecology and the global resource situation. Resources and energy must be diverted from frivolous and wasteful uses overdeveloped countries to filling the genuine needs of underdeveloped countries. This effort must be largely political, especially with regard to our overexploitation of world resources, but the campaign should be strongly supplemented by legal and boycott action against polluters and others whose activities damage the environment.

The need for de-development presents our economists with a major challenge. They must design a stable, low-consumption economy in which there is a much more equitable distribution of wealth than the present one. Redistribution of wealth both within and among nations is absolutely essential, if a decent life is to be provided for every human being.

It can’t get much clearer than that. He favors depopulation and redistribution of wealth. He is another Marxist, just like Obama, and Obama’s new pick for green czar, Van Jones. Plus, what better way to depopulate the country than by socialized medicine, where the government gets to decide who gets what treatment, who is allowed to have children, and how many, etc. When you look at it, it all starts to fall into place.

But, to make it even worse, Holdren also argued for giving up some national sovereignty, in favor of a world police force and government! As verified by the “Accuracy In Media” website ( http://www.aim.org/aim-report/obama-czar-favors-planetary-regime/ )

pages 942-943 the book calls for a “Planetary Regime” that “should control the global economy and dictate by force the number of children allowed to be born.”Page 942 does include a heading, “Toward a Planetary Regime,” and page 943 declares, “The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries’ shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime should have some power to enforce the agreed limits. As with the Law of the Sea and other international agreements, all agreements for regulating population sizes, resource development, and pollution should be subject to revision and modification in accordance with changing conditions.”

World Government?

Holdren cannot wiggle out of responsibility for these statements because he does not specifically attribute them to anyone else in particular. Hence, the endorsement of a “planetary regime” can be correctly attributed to the authors of the book, including Holdren. What’s more, Holdren’s endorsement of the Law of the Sea Treaty is currently relevant because this is a treaty that Obama is now pushing for ratification by the U.S. Senate.

The book declares on page 943: “Should a Law of the Sea be successfully established, it could serve as a model for a future Law of the Atmosphere to regulate the use of airspace, to monitor climate change, and to control atmospheric pollution. Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP [United Nations Environmental Program] and the United Nations population agencies, might eventually be developed into a Planetary Regime-sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment. Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural re-sources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist.”

This is not only dangerous but an accurate prediction of what is currently happening under Obama, who is pushing Senate ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty and hoping to produce another and much tougher global warming treaty at a United Nations conference in December in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Global Enforcer

Zombietime highlights that the Holdren book declares on page 917 that “If this could be accomplished, security might be provided by an armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force.”

This statement is followed by the important caveat: “But it seems probable that, as long as most people fail to comprehend the magnitude of the danger, that step will be impossible.”

In this case, the caveat is not convincing, in part because Holdren seems to have dedicated his career to exaggerating “the danger” and can be counted on to continue to do so in his White House position.

It goes without saying that the major media should belatedly begin to probe Holdren’s views with a careful reading of the book Ecoscience.

I’m sorry, but I consider this chilling, and not the kind of philosophy that I want in any government official, much less the “science czar.”

But now, to add insult to injury, Obama appoints an admitted Marxist and Communist as his “green jobs czar”, officially “Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality”. As the East Bay Express reported about Van Jones:

One week later, while Jones was observing the first large rally since the lifting of the city’s state of emergency, he got swept up in mass arrests. It was a turning point in his life. Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, “I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’” Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. “I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.” In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. “I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”

In 1994, the young activists formed a socialist collective, Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, which held study groups on the theories of Marx and Lenin and dreamed of a multiracial socialist utopia.

So, what can I say? It looks pretty bleak for America. If the founding fathers could see what was happening, they would not be turning over in their graves; they would be spinning, uncontrollably, in their graves!

Massachusetts On Verge Of Passing Bill That Could Result In $1000/fines For Those Who Refuse Quarantine

The Massachusetts state legislature is on the verge of passing sweeping new health emergency rules. These would do such things as essentially forcing vaccinations and immunizing health care workers. Additionally, if a person refused to be quarantined, for example, they could be fined up to $1000 per day. While some might argue that these are needed laws, they are just one more strike at freedom within the country.

ABC’s John Stossel Destroys/Pulverizes/Crushes Obama’s anti-American ‘Health Care’ Plan

Interesting video by John Stossel of ABC. Some of the interesting points in the video is that the wait for dental care in England is so long that some people do their own dental work with pliers and vodka. In Canada, although a dog can get a CT scan in 1 day, the wait for a human is generally about a month. Additionally, in Canada, the average wait in an emergency room is about 23 hours! As I have also pointed out, people from countries with socialized medicine come to the United States for health care. If the United States gets socialized medicine, where will Americans go for health care. The video even pointed out how people like Desmond Tutu and Silvio Berlusconi have come to the United States for medical care.

#1 RINGTONE IN THE COUNTRY: Obama Care Remixx (OLD PEOPLE) By Obama / Rush Limbaugh

Great little ditty about old people and the Obamacare program. After the ditty, there is a brief discussion about a 105 year old woman who received a pace maker at the age of 99. Obama is questioned about this in a brief exchange, and his response is not encouraging or “hopeful” for old people.

Canadian National Healthcare System Imploding

Boy, Obamabots are not going to like this news. Just when they were hoping that the United States, perhaps soon the be the United Socialist States, was about to get nationalized health care, our neighbors to the north state that things are not working out so well for them in their nationalized health care system.

SASKATOON — The incoming president of the Canadian Medical Association says this country’s health-care system is sick and doctors need to develop a plan to cure it.

Dr. Anne Doig says patients are getting less than optimal care and she adds that physicians from across the country – who will gather in Saskatoon on Sunday for their annual meeting – recognize that changes must be made.

“We all agree that the system is imploding, we all agree that things are more precarious than perhaps Canadians realize,” Doing said in an interview with The Canadian Press.

The article goes on to discuss how “change” is badly needed. Ironically, some people seem to feel that the system has to “change” to something that looks more like the American system. They feel that, and our “leaders” are trying to tell us that we need something more like the Canadian system.

As I’ve said before, people from countries with socialized medicine, like Canada, come to the US when they need quality health care. If we get ObamaCare, where will Americans go when they need quality health care?

Dissent Is Not Un-American

In spite of what the Obama administration would have you believe, a significant percentage of the American people have serious reservations about rushing into a nationalized health care plan. Great article from the Heritage foundation.

Who Is Really Spreading The “Disinformation”?

Sometimes, it just seems like the Obama administration protests too much. Aside from the fact that their “disinformation” video post was somewhat comical, I think the weight of evidence shows that they are the “disinformationistas”. (Hey, I coined a new word. Maybe it will stick.)

Anyway, there is a new video out that points out some of the disinformation on Obama Care being spread by Obama and his minions.

Some Great Posters And Cartoons About People Who Question ObamaCare

This is just so much fun! The more I look, the more I find. It is obvious that the Obama administration is afraid that ObamaCare may go down in flames (as it should), just like HilaryCare went down in flames. Is health care reform needed? Yes. Is ObamaCare, where the government takes over an additional 1/7 of the entire economy, the solution? HELL NO!

Anyway, here is one great posters from “The Peoples Cube”. Go to their site and see all of the posters and cartoons on the subject of ObamaCare, and the people who feel that perhaps there is a better solution.

New Health Care Bill Will Necessarily Limit Care To Elderly

I just read an excellent article in the opinions section of the Wall Street Journal, “Betsy McCaughey: GovernmentCare’s Assault on Seniors.” In it, she points out that funding for health care is essentially being cut, just when the rolls of eligible people will grow by 30% as the baby boomers reach the age of 65.  Also, it is clear by actions of the Congress that they intend to limit coverage for older people.

“The assault against seniors began with the stimulus package in February. Slipped into the bill was substantial funding for comparative effectiveness research, which is generally code for limiting care based on the patient’s age. Economists are familiar with the formula, where the cost of a treatment is divided by the number of years (called QALYs, or quality-adjusted life years) that the patient is likely to benefit. In Britain, the formula leads to denying treatments for older patients who have fewer years to benefit from care than younger patients.”

“When comparative effectiveness research appeared in the stimulus bill, Rep. Charles Boustany Jr., (R., La.) a heart surgeon, warned that it would lead to “denying seniors and the disabled lifesaving care.” He and Sen. Jon Kyl (R., Ariz.) proposed amendments to no avail that would have barred the federal government from using the research to eliminate treatments for the elderly or deny care based on age.”

Other problems with the bill revolve around the fact that the new legislation stresses preventative care. The problem is that many of the killer diseases are more genetically driven, rather than being behaviorally driven. Thus, prevention, while certainly a smart thing, will not solve the medical problems of seniors and soon-to-be seniors.  The bill also strives to shift care from specialists to generalists, ignoring the fact that generalists often misdiagnose or mistreat ailments that are properly diagnosed and treated by specialists.

The article goes on to include the fact that the new bill

“ensures that seniors are counseled on end-of-life options, including refusing nutrition where state law allows it (pp. 425-446). In Oregon, some cancer patients are being denied care by the state that could extend their lives and instead are afforded the benefit of physician-assisted suicide instead.”

To really understand the whole situation that will result from ObamaCare, you really only need to realize one simple fact, and ask yourself one question. Canada and many other nations now have socialized medicine. The only question you have to ask is: Where do people from these countries go when they need health care, after their systems fails them? Of course, you know the answer. They go to the United States. Now, ask yourself this question: Where will Americans go for health care after ObamaCare is introduced?

The Heritage Foundation Has Interesting Studies On Obama Care

The article at the Heritage Foundation is titled “Goodbye to Private Health Insurance”. After reading through the study that they commissioned http://www.heritage.org/research/healthcare/upload/Lewin_public_plan_national_all.pdf , I have to agree. Not only that, but I see hospitals going bankrupt, or out of business. The plan is based on stripping hospitals of their margin. Thus, no profit. If a hospital cannot make a profit, why be in business. After all, many hospitals are owned by corporations. Corporations are in business to make money for their share holders. If they cannot make money for the share holders, the share holders will cease to own shares in the corporations.

Now, some might argue that hospitals should not be in business to make money. But, many are. If they cannot make money, they go bankrupt. If they go bankrupt, what is going to take up the slack? What entity is going to treat the sick? I am definitely glad that I am not going through medical school at the present time. I do not think the future looks bright for people in the medical field.

And, it is a shame. We all know that health care costs are out of control. I’ll go into that in a later posting. For now, if you want to know what ObamaCare is going to do to health care in the United States, go to the Heritage Foundation web site and read their material. They also have studies that examine the effects of H.R. 3200 on a few specific states. They are interesting.
