What is with Obama’s administration? First a depopulation nutjob, now a confirmed Marxist!

It was bad enough news when Barack Obama announced that his science czar was to be John Holdren, but now he has announced that Van Jones will be the clean energy czar! What else can he do to destroy the United States?

We now have a fan of one-world government, depopulation, and legal rights for trees as science czar, and a self-admitted Marxist in charge of green energy!  (Not to mention a Christian fundamentalist in charge of the National Institutes of Health! Although Francis Collins is a fine scientist, by most accounts, I question how a Christian fundamentalist can really support evolution, which is an essential aspect of any science-related job, and especially one that involves medicine and evolution at it’s core. Let’s hope he can keep his personal religious beliefs away from his duties at the NIH. But, I digress.)

In 1977, John Holdren co-authored a book titled “Eccoscience: Population, Resources, Environment” along with Paul Ehrlich and Anne Ehrlich. In this very long book, he strongly advocated for depopulation. The book could be summarized by the statement: “To provide a high quality of life for all, there must be fewer people.” To accomplish that, he advocated for forced sterilizations, limiting women to no more than one or two children, and forcing unmarried women to abort their children.
The following is a direct quote from his book:

Isn’t this just the man for the job of science czar??? And, he also famously predicted that the oceans would rise 13 feet by the end of the 21st century due to global warming, even though the highly dubious IPCC report only predicts a sea level rise of 13 inches by the end of the century.

In the above mentioned book, Holdren also argued for zero GDP growth, along with zero population growth.

It is by now abundantly clear that the GNP cannot grow forever. Why should it? Why should we not strive for zero economic growth (ZEG) as well as zero population growth?”

What a brilliant idea, especially right after the Obama administration has foisted a $10 trillion budget deficit upon the children of America! When the youth of America fully realize the impact of that fact, and are told that we should not have economic growth that might at least help to pay for that staggering debt load, they might want to consider suicide, which will probably be handily supplied by your local government controlled doctor, if and when you can get an appointment. That will help to both lower population, and reduce GNP at the same time! I am beginning to see the logic.

In 1973, Holdren stated, in relation to the population of the United States,  “210 million now is too many and 280 million in 2040 is likely to be much too many”. The current population of the United States is a bit over 307 million. I guess he got that wrong.

Holdren stated in another book that he co-authored with Paul and Anne Ehrlich in 1973, “Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions”:

A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States. De-devolopment means bringing our economic system (especially patterns of consumption) into line with the realities of ecology and the global resource situation. Resources and energy must be diverted from frivolous and wasteful uses overdeveloped countries to filling the genuine needs of underdeveloped countries. This effort must be largely political, especially with regard to our overexploitation of world resources, but the campaign should be strongly supplemented by legal and boycott action against polluters and others whose activities damage the environment.

The need for de-development presents our economists with a major challenge. They must design a stable, low-consumption economy in which there is a much more equitable distribution of wealth than the present one. Redistribution of wealth both within and among nations is absolutely essential, if a decent life is to be provided for every human being.

It can’t get much clearer than that. He favors depopulation and redistribution of wealth. He is another Marxist, just like Obama, and Obama’s new pick for green czar, Van Jones. Plus, what better way to depopulate the country than by socialized medicine, where the government gets to decide who gets what treatment, who is allowed to have children, and how many, etc. When you look at it, it all starts to fall into place.

But, to make it even worse, Holdren also argued for giving up some national sovereignty, in favor of a world police force and government! As verified by the “Accuracy In Media” website ( )

pages 942-943 the book calls for a “Planetary Regime” that “should control the global economy and dictate by force the number of children allowed to be born.”Page 942 does include a heading, “Toward a Planetary Regime,” and page 943 declares, “The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries’ shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime should have some power to enforce the agreed limits. As with the Law of the Sea and other international agreements, all agreements for regulating population sizes, resource development, and pollution should be subject to revision and modification in accordance with changing conditions.”

World Government?

Holdren cannot wiggle out of responsibility for these statements because he does not specifically attribute them to anyone else in particular. Hence, the endorsement of a “planetary regime” can be correctly attributed to the authors of the book, including Holdren. What’s more, Holdren’s endorsement of the Law of the Sea Treaty is currently relevant because this is a treaty that Obama is now pushing for ratification by the U.S. Senate.

The book declares on page 943: “Should a Law of the Sea be successfully established, it could serve as a model for a future Law of the Atmosphere to regulate the use of airspace, to monitor climate change, and to control atmospheric pollution. Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP [United Nations Environmental Program] and the United Nations population agencies, might eventually be developed into a Planetary Regime-sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment. Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural re-sources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist.”

This is not only dangerous but an accurate prediction of what is currently happening under Obama, who is pushing Senate ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty and hoping to produce another and much tougher global warming treaty at a United Nations conference in December in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Global Enforcer

Zombietime highlights that the Holdren book declares on page 917 that “If this could be accomplished, security might be provided by an armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force.”

This statement is followed by the important caveat: “But it seems probable that, as long as most people fail to comprehend the magnitude of the danger, that step will be impossible.”

In this case, the caveat is not convincing, in part because Holdren seems to have dedicated his career to exaggerating “the danger” and can be counted on to continue to do so in his White House position.

It goes without saying that the major media should belatedly begin to probe Holdren’s views with a careful reading of the book Ecoscience.

I’m sorry, but I consider this chilling, and not the kind of philosophy that I want in any government official, much less the “science czar.”

But now, to add insult to injury, Obama appoints an admitted Marxist and Communist as his “green jobs czar”, officially “Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality”. As the East Bay Express reported about Van Jones:

One week later, while Jones was observing the first large rally since the lifting of the city’s state of emergency, he got swept up in mass arrests. It was a turning point in his life. Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, “I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’” Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. “I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.” In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. “I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”

In 1994, the young activists formed a socialist collective, Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, which held study groups on the theories of Marx and Lenin and dreamed of a multiracial socialist utopia.

The following video has a lot of information on him:

So, what can I say? It looks pretty bleak for America. If the founding fathers could see what was happening, they would not be turning over in their graves; they would be spinning, uncontrollably, in their graves!
